About Bill's BookMart

Bill's BookMart breathes new life into old books by finding donated books for new owners either through our outlet at Uptown Bill's Coffee House & Neighborhood Arts Center or, in the case of rare and collectable books, through our Vintage Shoppe at 2203 F Street in Iowa City.

Books on sale at the Coffee House are $1.50 for paperbacks and $3 for hardbacks, unless otherwise marked on the inside front cover or shelf. We invite anyone to come in, pull any book off the shelf and melt into a chair to read. We also invite people to just relax and enjoy the community and great conversation of the BookMart, or join us at our Shy Poets' Club at the first Friday of every month.

The range of topics found in the BookMart is as diverse as the people who bring these books in, they include classics, fiction, autobiographies, spirituality books and non-fiction. If you'd like to donate some books to the BookMart, just bring them in to the Coffee House at 730 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City.
